Toy
Story 3 (2010)
It goes from being uproariously hilarious one minute, to genuinely emotional the next, and the goes unexpectedly dark just to catch you off guard. This is not a story about simple toys that come to life when you're not looking, its grown far beyond that.
The
Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010)
I will give credit where credit is due and say that Eclipse is my favorite of the Twilight movies... Sort of like how thumbscrews are my favorite method of torture and gangrene is my favorite type of infection.
Iron
Man 2
(2010)
I know the movie isn't bad, but it is a frustratingly average follow up to a movie full of such style and originality. While those qualities are present in Iron Man 2, they are muted and, alas, so is the movie as a whole.
Alice
in Wonderland (2010)
We have to stop Tim Burton before he destroys all culture in the name of Hot Topic.

The
Wolfman
(2010)
Never before have I seen a movie where I'm certain that the cast and crew did everything in their power to purposefully sabotage it.
The
Losers (2010)
The Losers is one of
those odd movies that is comfortable taking the identity of
others. In a sense, it's the Single White Female
of movies -- devoid of personality and originality that it
rummages through the closet of its fellow movie brethren looking
for a pair of pants or a shirt that will make it look like
something it admires.
Kick-Ass (2010)
Kick-Ass does just that. It's a hard R comedy that is genuinely funny and has some action scenes that are so brilliantly shot and are so insanely kinetic that I would group them up there next to The Matrix just on terms of sheer originality.
How
to Train Your Dragon (2010)
I loved it more than I wanted to get baby puke off of me. That should tell you a lot.
Avatar (2009)
James Cameron's first movie in
fifteen years might not be the amazing nuclear missile of
ingenuity we were promised, but it's nothing to look down on.
Derivative or not, it's incredible to behold.
The
Princess and the Frog (2009)
The mouse has returned to its roots and they are strong, they go deep, and produce fruits that are sweet and succulent. The Princess and the Frog is a true labor of love and it shows in every beautiful frame.
Fantastic
Mr. Fox (2009)
Fantastic Mr. Fox is just fantastic all over and, while some of the sarcastic dialogue and understatement might be off-putting, this is hand down my favorite Wes Anderson movie in that I was entertained and not put to sleep.
